What I do:

What was the first thing you reached for this morning? For most people, the answer will be: your phone. In today's world we spend our time on screens: we work on screens, connect on screens, and organise our lives with the tap of a phone screen or the click of a computer.

That's not inherently wrong. It just means we spend a lot of time navigating our lives using technology. In relationship with technology. Sometimes that relationship is happy, balanced and healthy.

Sometimes it's not. That's what I'm here for. I coach people to find their own balance with technology. So if you're feeling stuck, frustrated or unhappy with your relationship with your device - I'm here to coach you into a happier, healthier relationship with the phone in your pocket.

How I do it:

I have a six step process, starting with a simple phone call and ending with a happier relationship with your phone.

Hi. I'm Louisa. My journey to coaching was an unusual one. I started my career as a magician in London, a career I loved. Then, a few years ago, I decided to do a degree in Education at Cambridge University and to set up a coaching business. Why? It felt like the right choice.

I started my coaching training and quickly discovered that the number one block I was facing, and all my clients were facing, was screen addiction. 

And I realised that what had led me into coaching was a deep desire to change my own relationship with my phone, and to support others to re-imagine their relationships with their phones. 

So I did what any good coach would do. I did a deep dive into my own relationship with my phone, re-assessed ten years of screen dependency and reached a place where I finally felt like I was using my phone on my own terms.

 

In my own way.

Then I started to teach others how to do the same thing.

I’m a qualified coach (FHT and AACH certified) and I use a range of tools in my coaching practice, including somatic and mindset coaching. 

I’ve studied different behavioural change models at Cambridge (Education Tripos) and I’ve done extensive research on the science of addiction.

 

But that’s not what makes me a coach. What I bring to each coaching session is my own personal experience with phone dependency, the techniques that I’ve used to draw boundaries around my screens and the struggles that I’ve had to create a life where I can truly breathe - free from phone anxiety.
